Thursday's Three

Thursday's Three: April 25, 2013

1. Old Navy Linen Shorts - $25
I have been in love with shorts this season. This rather peculiar, since I usually hide my legs as much as possible, but it's these linen shorts from Old Navy that have gotten me out of my shorts boycott. They are super light weight and a tad flowy, giving them extra comfort and a very flattering look.
2. Pantene Pro-V Ultimate 10 BB Creme - $5.29
I'm sure you have all seen the commercials with Zooey Deschanel and her ridiculously perfect hair.  Well if she uses this hair BB creme I might as well give it a shot too. Have any of you tried this stuff yet, or do you think it is too good to be true?
3. Real Techniques Makeup Brushes - $5.99 - $19.99
I am a major Samantha Chapman and Nic Chapman fan and after watching countless number of their makeup tutorials using Sam's Real Techniques brushes I just knew I needed them in my life.  They give the same high quality finish with the drugstore friendly price.  I love them so much I even got a set of them for my mom! If you are in the market for some new brushes, do yourself a favor and pick up a couple of these babies.

On Trend: Headwraps

Wrap It Up...

The "it" Spring/Summer accessory: the headwrap!
These festival chic accessories are super easy ways to jazz up your otherwise drab do.  When I grudgingly decide to wear my hair au natural (curly frizzy mess) I immediately gravitate to headbands and wraps for that "I meant for it to look like a hot mess" look.
Urban Outfitters has been on point with their hair accessories this season, including their head wraps.
I may just have to pick up one, two, or all of them next time I'm there.

What do you guys feels about the headwrap look?

Thursday's Three

Thursday's Three: April 17, 2013

I have officially gone oil crazy. Face, hair, body, you name it, I want it.
They usually are a luxury product but when it comes to splurging, you hair and your skin should take some precedent since it's the one thing that you are stuck with.

Let's be honest, you've been flipping through magazines, scrolling through Instagram, and searching Pinterest and be secretly dying over some high waisted shorts.  No need to be shy about it, grab yourself a pair of these essential and versatile shorts and your summer outfits can be Pinterest worthy too.
Ojon is back again on this week's Thursday's Three and get ready to see more.  I have been dying to get my hands, well I guess hair, on this oil. It's 3 oil blend restores hair with amazing shine and smell.
I received a sample of this glorious oil in this month's Birchbox and I was so excited about it.  I have been seeing many bloggers and YouTubers praising this oil for months and now I see why.  This dry oil leaves skin silky smooth and super hydrated.

Any oils you've been drooling over recently?

Gettin' a Little Personal

I have been at this blogging thing for almost 4 months now.
This was a new year's resolution of mine; I wanted a creative outlet that allowed me to discuss all of my beauty obsessions. Through blogging I have achieved a feeling of accomplishment and confidence that I have never felt before, and if you are itching to start one but feeling too nervous,
just do it! You wont' regret it!
But enough rambling,
I think it's about time you finally see whose behind the computer.

Hello there, my name is Logan and it's very nice to meet you.

Here are 10 important and random things to know about me:

1. I am a sinner, saved by the grace of God, through the death of His perfect Son Jesus.
2. I am obsessed with England. For example, my senior thesis in high school was devoted to the British Royal Family and I stayed up all night to watch Will and Kate's wedding at 4 a.m.
3. I hate butterflies...don't ask.
4. I whole heartedly love Disneyland. In a three week period, I went 10 times. And if you don't like it, I will be slightly (or not so slightly) offended.
5. I am the oldest of 3 by 8 and 10 years.
Meet my sibs!
(Landon, me, and Austen)

6. My whole family hates coffee. We only bring out the coffee pot for large family gatherings.
7. I have a stuffed elephant name Fuzzy and I still sleep with it....with no shame.

8. I have an unhealthy love for TV, just ask my roommate.
9. I am a neat freak. I can't get anything done when there is a mess in the house.  Because of that I have learned great organizational skills, that drive some of my family members crazy.
10. Last but definitely not least. I have been in a committed relationship for 2 1/2 years with the most wonderful and cutest man on earth.

Thanks for spending time here on my little blog and learning a little about me.
Let's be friends.

Thursday's Three

Thursday's Three - April 11, 2013

Absolutely love love love this skirt.  The print is amazing and incorporates the black and white trend this spring while still being girly with the florals.  And it's just so fun to twirl in.
I received a sample of this glorious product in my April Birchbox (stay tuned for my next Beauty Box review in the next few weeks).  This is a one stop shop for all things hair.  Inside this magic bottle includes: instant detangler, thermal protector, UV protector, seals cuticle, smoothes hair, locks in color, adds shine, weightless, non-greasy, and conditions!!  Give your hair some real good tender loving care with this product ladies.
Another great sample in this month's Birchbox! This CC Cream made my skin dewy and added a healthy glow while still correcting my color, who doesn't like that?  And BONUS, it has 35 SPF and is rated PA+++, in sunscreen language that means the best of the best protection.  So lets see good coverage, dewy glowy finish, and protection....this product is definitely worth the money.

What have been your favorite fashion, hair, and makeup finds this week?

#1 Beauty Rule

Moisture

Did you know your skin actually looses most of it's moisture in the shower?
Even after using hydrating body washes and shaving creams, the heavy and hot steam leave your skin dry and parched.  Because of this my #1 beauty rule is...

MOISTURIZE.

To keep my skin soft, supple, and nourished I religiously apply lotion on immediately after my shower at night and another coat in the morning.
Here are my favorites.

N I G H T

Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream - $10.79 $9.17
This one is an oldie but a goodie. Cetaphil is very gentle, but it's rich texture leaves your skin with unbelievable moisture.
It may seem odd that I use self tanning lotion at night, but there is a very good reason.  It takes 5-6 hours for the color to start developing, perfect amount for bedtime.  Go to bed and wake up sunkissed.

D A Y

I don't think any girl can resist the tempting smells of Bath and Body Works' products.  Their lotions are super moisturizing and their scent selection is enormous.
Like Bath and Body you can never go wrong with Victoria's Secrets' beauty line.  Though I love the PINK line, Bombshell is my absolute favorite.  It's the perfect blend of floral and fruity scents.

What are your favorite body lotion brands and scents?

$20 Makeup Look

$20 Makeup Look

If you are an avid Youtube watcher like me then I am sure you have seen every beauty guru do a "$20 Makeup Challenge."  Well me, a non Youtube Beauty guru, feel a little left out, so I'm joining in on my blog for a $20 makeup look.  The purpose of this is to solve a myriad of situations.  For example...
Here are the situations.
Situation #1: You are on vacation and left all your makeup at home.
Situation #2: Your'e on a budget.  Let's face it not everyone can go out and spend
 $50 dollars on a concealer.
But no need to fret my friend, Target saves the day once again with everything you need.

F A C E

Foundation: Maybelline Fit Me Foundation - $5.94
This is the priciest product of the group but it is definitely the most important.  It evens your skin tone making a clear canvas to work on and on a budget can be used as a concealer as well.
Powder: E.L.F. Pressed Powder - $1
Powder may not be an essential for some, but I added it anyways for those who might have an oily complexion and for that pesky shine in the middle of the day.
Blush/Bronzer: Milani Baked Blush - Bellissimo Bronze - $3.99
This particular blush is a bronzy pink so it can act as a blush and bronzer to warm up that complexion.

E Y E S

Eyeshadow: Wet n' Wild Walking on Eggshells - $2.99
This Wet n' Wild in particular is raved about by almost every beauty guru on Youtube, and for the price you just have to have it.
Mascara: Rimmel Extra Super Lash - $3.09
Rimmel is an under rated company, they do some pretty great mascaras.  This one lengthens without clumping with an very nice price tag.

L I P S

My budget was definitely running dry by the time it came to lips so I opted for this classic.  You loved them as a kid and trust me you'll still love them just as much as an adult.  Lip Smackers in Strawberry gives you moisture with a flattering pinky red tint that's good enough to eat.

Total: $19.99

P.S. You can get a full face makeup look for even cheaper with brands like E.L.F and Wet n' Wild
that sell almost all their products under $3!

Thursday's Three

Thursday Three - April 4, 2012

1. C&C California Colorblock Sweater Dress - $88
This dress was a recent purchase of mine, but my frugal spirit always prevails, and I snatched up this beaut for only $10 at Marshall's (I just love that place).  The material is super light and perfect for all seasons.  I love pairing it with some wedges and a denim jacket of course.
2. Ojon Damage Reverse Instant Restorative Hair Serum - $25
This restorative hair serum is something I have been wanting for a long time now.  I read an article of a girl who used the whole line for 8 weeks and tracked her hair progress on a blog.  The results were AMAZING, her limp, damp, and frizzy hair was 80% restored.  I need to get my hands on this puppy soon to help my particularly weak locks.
3. Garnier Miracle Skin Perfecter BB Cream - $10.79
I featured this BB cream on my "Quick & Easy Springtime Makeup" post and have still been loving it.  This BB cream has good coverage and comes in Fair, Light/Medium, and Medium/Dark tones and also a Dry/Normal and Oily/Combination formulas, so there is one for everyone! If you are a bit drier than average like I am I do suggest wearing a light moisturizer before applying.

Sorry for the last post, had some technical difficulties last night uploading.

A Spring in Your Step

A Spring in Your Step

This weekend I went a little crazy with the Old Navy sale, but don't worry it was only for necessities (at least that what I'm telling myself).   Anyways, I picked up this orange eyelet dress and have fallen in love.  The orange is definitely a statement on it's own but a few accessories take it to new heights.

Are you as excited for sundress season as I am?
What accessories are you pairing with yours?

On Trend: The Ankle Strap Stilleto

The Ankle Strap Stilleto

Stilettos are back and with a new look.  Spring/Summer '13's "it" shoe is the Ankle Strap Stiletto
The stiletto is not only meant for elegant gowns but are also perfect to pair with a casual look of distressed jeans or sundress.  The versatility of this shoe is astounding and it is a timeless piece, so shelling out a large sum for a couple great pairs is definitely worth it.
Check out some of my favorite fashion bloggers for inspiration:

(row 1 left to right, row 2 left to right)
  1. Zara Ankle Strap Sandal  - $89.90
  2. BCBG Max Azria Estie High-Heel Sandal - $250

  4. Prabal Gurung for Target Ankle Strap Pump - $39.99
  5. ASOS Hong Kong Heeled Sandals with Metal Trim - $74.81
  6. Zara Sandal with Ankle Strap - $79.90

What shoes are you been dying to slip your feet into this Spring?

(p.s. I know this is a duplicate post, had some glitch with the picture.)
